IAF Annual General Meeting

IAF AGM 2027
The International Authors Forum (IAF) is pleased to invite its members and partners to the IAF AGM 2027.
The AGM will take place as part of a special three-day programme, organised in collaboration with WIPO and the Accessible Books Consortium (ABC), with the support of the Bureau Marocain du Droit d'Auteur et des Droits Voisins (BMDAV), Morocco's copyright and neighbouring rights office, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the Marrakesh Treaty.
Celebrating the Marrakesh Treaty: IAF Statement
As a member of the Accessible Books Consortium (ABC) Board, the International Authors Forum (IAF) is actively involved in supporting ABC’s mission to advance access to accessible format books worldwide. During the Marrakesh Assembly, held as part of the 2026 WIPO Assemblies, IAF delivered a statement recognising the significant milestone achieved through the implementation of the Marrakesh Treaty and announced plans for a series of meetings in Marrakesh from 13 to 15 April 2027, with a particular focus on increasing the availability of Arabic-language accessible content.
Adopted in Marrakesh in 2013 and entering into force on 30 September 2016, the Marrakesh Treaty is a landmark international copyright agreement that has significantly improved access to published works for people who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print disabled through the cross-border exchange of accessible format copies.
For IAF, celebrating the Treaty’s 10th anniversary in Marrakesh is an important opportunity to recognise the progress achieved over the past decade, celebrate the collective efforts behind its implementation and reaffirm the commitment of the authors' community to advancing accessible publishing worldwide.
