The International Authors Forum and The Writers Union of Argentina are delighted to invite you to a roundtable discussion on the topic: “The Work of Writing Post-Pandemic, a global view”.
This is a wonderful opportunity for authors from different countries to compare the levels of support they get from governments, and to share information about how this can be optimised through the work of authors’ organisations, such as lobbying activities or other forms of collaboration. It will take place in English and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation.
Representatives of authors around the world will discuss the role the state plays in the production of books where they live, and how authors’ organisations collaborate with governments and state-level organisations to optimise support for the work of authors.
This event is in support of the efforts of The Writers Union of Argentina to secure a Book Institute, a state-level institution which would work to improve the conditions in which book production takes place, to which the work of authors is of course vital.
The discussion will take place in two languages English and Spanish with the support of simultaneous professional interpretation.
