IAF member the Academic and Non-Fiction Authors Association of South Africa, (ANFASA), will host the 4th Annual Virtual International Symposium on the Power of Authors on 25 March 2025 at 9:00 AM. This one-day event aims to reflect on the vital contributions authors have made throughout history and examine how the concept of authorship continues to evolve.
Throughout history, authors have been the voices of opposition, sources of wisdom and entertainment, keepers of oral histories, and creators of knowledge. Their words have the power to educate, heal, and illuminate minds through bridging societies and fostering understanding.
This year’s symposium will focus on how authors can adapt and reinvent themselves in the face of modern challenges, including advances in AI, as well as the socio-economic and technological shifts impacting the world today. It will provide insight into how authors can continue to evolve their craft, while maintaining their power to inspire, heal, and transform.
Sessions will explore the many ways authors have shaped society and culture, and how they can continue to have a profound impact in the future.
Register today to be part of this exciting virtual event!
